Annual Work Plans

The District is required by Statute to update its Revised Management Plan each ten years.   The 2005 version outlines the District’s goals and some specific tasks.

Each year  the District Board of Managers undertakes a comprehensive review of District activities for the completed year,  and authorizes a work plan for the next year.   This activity is accomplished  in the context of existing Revised Management Plan’s goals and implementation strategies.

Indeed, it is understood that the goals and implementation strategies described for both the District as a whole and its constituent Lake Water Quality Management Areas,  must be described in more detail in order to be implemented in  practice.      This is accomplished in the form of task lists that are specified annually by the Managers and assigned to be carried out by the staff.   This process incorporates budget planning as well.    Although the new Revised Management Plan will be significantly more complicated than the past,  this annual assessment process will be continued.
